The company began trading in 1922; the patented "Greentwist" centre pull lock tie spool of twine was first produced in Dundee, Scotland. When this wonderful green twine was used to tie up plants it was, of course, not seen! giving rise to "Nutscene".

Nutscene prides itself in its product development and innovation. Through this a wonderful range of high quality design led giftware for gardeners was launched in 1999 with our "tin of twine", and has since gone from strength to strength. This eclectic range of practical gifts utilises all natural materials where possible, incorporating wood, terracotta, jute, and cotton. All are manufactured to an exceptionally high standard in the UK.

The Nutscene range is fashioned using natural jute which is biodegradable. We offer an extensive range of Jute twines, natural and coloured Hessians and Jute bags.
